FigureWatch Privacy Policy
Effective September 29, 2026 · Developer: Waqas Goraya · Contact: impulsivereload@gmail.com
FigureWatch is an app for tracking a figure collection, preorders, payments, sets, and a wishlist. This policy explains what the app stores, why, who processes it, and how to delete it.
What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address and password (the password is stored hashed) | To create your account and sign you in. |
| Your collection, preorders, prices, deposits, payment plans, order numbers, budgets, wishlist, sets, display cases, and notes | This is the content of the app. It is only used to show it back to you. |
| Photos you add (to collection and wishlist items) and the cutouts made from them | To show your figures on cards and display cases. |
| Monthly counts of AI features you use | To apply the monthly limits on AI search, page reads, cutouts, and imports. |
| Usage events: which features you use (for example "added a figure", "made a cutout", "viewed a display case"), with small details such as the rarity tier or how many orders an import read, plus app version and device platform. Linked to a random account ID, never your email, figure names, prices, photos, or notes. | To learn which features are useful and what to improve. You can turn this off in Settings → Share usage stats. |
| A copy of your data saved on your phone | So you can still view your collection when you're offline. It stays on your device and is removed when you sign out. |
FigureWatch has no ads and no advertising or cross-app tracking, and does not access your location, contacts, or camera. Photos are only read when you pick them.
Figure lookups and the shared catalog
When you use AI figure search and pick a result, our server opens that retailer's public product page to read the figure's details (name, brand, price, stock, ship date and similar). The shop sees a request from our server, not from your phone, and nothing about you is sent to it.
To make lookups faster and cheaper for everyone, the product details read from well-known retailer pages are saved in a shared catalog and reused when anyone looks up the same figure. The catalog holds public product information only: it does not record who looked a figure up, and it is not linked to your account, your collection, or your searches.
Card descriptions work the same way: a short description written for a figure and edition is saved in a shared pool and reused for anyone with the same figure. The pool stores the figure name, edition details and the description only, never who asked for it or anything about your collection.
Who processes your data
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. These service providers process it only to run the features you use:
| Provider | What they receive | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Your account and all app data and photos (database and file storage). | Until you delete it or your account. |
| Anthropic (Claude AI) | Your search text when you use AI figure search, the text of the public product page you pick, and the screenshots you choose when you use order import. Anything visible in those screenshots is included, so crop out details you don't want to send. | Deleted within 30 days (longer only if flagged for a usage-policy violation). Not used to train models. |
| Poof | The photo you choose when you create an AI cutout. | Processed in memory and deleted once the cutout is returned. Not used for training. |
| PostHog | The usage events described above, linked to a random account ID. | Kept for product analysis; deleted with your account on request. Not sold or used for advertising. |
| Resend | Your email address, to send your sign-up and password-reset codes. | Delivery logs kept for a limited period under Resend's policy. |
| Expo (app updates) | When the app opens it checks for an update. The check sends only your phone's operating system, the app's version, and a random token for this installation; no account data or device identifiers. | Under Expo's privacy policy. |
All data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Your data is private to your account: database rules only let a signed-in user read their own rows and files.
Deleting your account and data
In the app: Settings → Delete account → type DELETE → Delete my account permanently.
Without the app: email impulsivereload@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject "FigureWatch account deletion". We delete it within 30 days and reply to confirm.
Deletion permanently removes your account, every collection, preorder, wishlist, set, display case, and budget record, and every photo and cutout. We keep nothing linked to you afterwards. Entries in the shared figure catalog are public product details not tied to any account, so they stay. Copies may persist in Supabase's encrypted backups until they expire on their normal schedule.
You can also delete individual items, photos, and cutouts at any time from inside the app.
Children
FigureWatch is not directed to children and is intended for users 18 and over. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can view and edit all your data in the app, and ask us by email for a copy of it or for its deletion. AI features are optional; if you don't use them, nothing is sent to Anthropic or Poof. Signing out removes the offline copy of your data from your phone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
